                                                    "FATHER OF SCIENCE"

Thales ( circa 624 BC – 546BC ) he is the first known western philosopher the most famous for demanding a non-theist explanation for nature he is included on most lists.  naming the seven sages of greece . a greek mathematician cum philosopher who is commonly know as “Thales of Miletus” as he belonged to Milerus in Asian Region. Thales unveiled an era not only in the world of science but also in philosophy that’s why he has  been called as the “Father of Science”.

Thales also known as “The Father of Science” was born on  624 BC his region is western philosophy. thales main interest are ethics, methaphysics, mathematics and lastly the astronomy also thales first went to egypt and thence to introduced this study ( geometry ) thales study at Ionian/Milesian Naturalism. Thales founder of the milesian school of tha natural philosophy and the teacher of Anaximander. He was perhaps the first subscriber to Materialist and Naturalism in trying to defined substance or substances of which all material object were composed which he identified as  water. He involvement in local politics is also rather anecdotal in nature but thales apparently impressed ongoing conflict between the lydians . medes and persians over the fate of the region lonia when he predict an eclipse of the sun which brought fighting to the standstill. Thales is said to have died of dehydration while watching gymnastic contest in 546 or 547 BC at the age of  78.

The Military Engineering he redirected the flow of a raging river so the King Croessus Army could cross. The Geomerty he devised a means of measuring the height of the pyraminds and the distance of ships at sea using  triangulations last the astronomy in  585 BC using his astronomical knowledge along with the Babvlonian Tables of lunar and solar orbits. He was the first man to correctly predict a solar eclipse.

The details of thales philosophy are skechy as those of his life when the best account is from Aristotle who notes that all of the first philosophers attempted to discover the underlying stuff of all the things. Thales the founder of this type of philosophy said the principle is water for which reason he declared that the earth rest on water. Roughly equivalent to anaximenes later idea that everything in the world was composed of air. He claimed that the water is the origin of all the things from water is the things emerge and to which they return and moreover that all the things untimely are water. He probably drew this conclusion from seeing moist substance turn into air slime and earth he clearly viewed the earth as solidifying from the water on which it floated and which surrounded it.

For thales the important of water in life and nature was probably the principle reason which made by thales to this conclusion. Wherever according to other viewpoint. Thales probably follows the traditional Homeric word-image and more more precisely that of oceanos; the river source of all mortal and immortal life on this basis. Thales states that the earth floats on water like a raft.
